water ecology + quality workshop
June 15
6pm-8:30pm
In partnership with Red-Tail Land Conservancy and Ball State University, we offered a mini-workshop to teach the basics of the Hoosier Riverwatch method for water quality monitoring. minnetrista garden fair
May 11-12
We will be out at the Minnetrista Garden fair again this year! Stop by our booth in the parking lot to play some watershed games, receive educational content on the watershed, and check out some of our upcoming events.
earth day cleanup
April 22
We attended the City of Anderson parks earth day cleanup with the White Riverwatchers of Madison County. At the event we had informational flyers for the Upper White River Watershed Management Plan. We helped cleanup trash for a few hours and talked with some residents of Anderson about water quality and the work that the watershed is doing to test and improve water quality in our shared rivers.

April 19th
Event held in partnership with The Nature Conservancy and Muncie Sanitary District Bureau of Water Quality. We had materials at the booth and also participated in the sampling event out near Winchester.
cover crop educational event
March 30th
This event was led by the Delaware County SWCD and had speakers from Fisher Soil Health LLC and Hoorman Soil Health Services. A variety of topics were covered including best management practices such as no-till and cover crops.
15th annual
white river cleanup
September 17th
We were out at the 15th annual white river cleanup. We helped document the event, to create educational content, as well as an opportunity to help clean-up the river!
hoosier riverwatch volunteer training
September 16th 9am-4pm
In partnership with IDEM (Indiana Department of Environmental Management) we held a Hoosier Riverwatch training workshop. This workshop was open to the public and a great way for people to get involved in water quality monitoring at the public level. Anyone can go out and sample water (in navigable rivers) to help document river health!
rain barrel workshop
August 25th 6-7pm
In partnership with the MSD BWQ (Muncie Sanitary District, Stormwater Management, we held a rain barrel making event that included rain barrel education and a DIY tutorial. This workshop also included education on stormwater management, CSO's, and how to improve rain water management in your own yard.
camp prairie creek
July 25th
12:30pm-3:30 pm
We led an educational event on wetland and woodland plants for Camp Prairie Creek. This camp was open to 1st through 8th graders and featured a scavenger hunt and talk about the importance of wetlands and woodlands for water filtration and management. There were around 150 participants and plenty of enthusiasm to discover new plants! The photo slideshow to the left shows photos as well as files of our educational materials, made by Toria.
destiny christian childcare events

These events were held over two days with two different age groups. Kids were able to learn about macroinvertebrates and river health. They were then able to explore and got to see 12 different kinds of live river creatures!

We got out on the water with the Muncie Sanitary District and talked about the importance of river health to our community. This was a fun event to get out and use the White River recreationally through town with people from all different backgrounds.
minnetrista garden fair

The Garden Fair had over 2,000 visitors this year! We had an educational booth with an enviroscape that simulates watershed, as well as several educational resources. We also had out stakeholder map available for people to add pins and help us gather public perceptions data! (see photo #4)
